The BarbeQuer is an online newsletter dedicated to barbecuers and those who prefer the comfort of their outdoor room to their indoor ones. Our focus is on pure barbecue topics including recipes, tips and how-tos; but because we want you to get maximum enjoyment from your outdoor surrounds, we also cover related subjects ranging from fire pits to patio furniture.

TheBarbeQuer.com was created by Stephanie Richardson, an experienced food and outdoor living public relations practitioner and former working journalist, who brings extensive food industry and communications expertise to her work.

Prior to creating www.TheBarbeQuer.com, Ms. Richardson was Vice President at DHM Group, Inc., a boutique PR agency specializing in barbecue and outdoor living. Before joining DHM Group, she served as an account supervisor at Porter/Novelli, a New York City-based agency recognized for its work with food and nutrition programs, and as a senior account executive at Myers CommuniCounsel (forerunner to DHM Group, Inc.) where she supervised public relations programs for a wide variety of barbecue-related clients.

Before entering the public relations field, Ms. Richardson was a staff writer for the Food & Lifestyle section of a daily newspaper where her stories about food, design concepts and special events resulted in numerous awards for her department.

Ms. Richardson grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch country where she acquired a love of good food, for which the region is known. She currently resides in New Braunfels, TX, arguably the heart of barbecue country.
